Winter Packs for Afghanistan 2017
Noble Connection aims to provide winter survival packs for over 1000 homes in Afghanistan please help us this winter.
Afghanistan - one of the world’s poorest countries of the world, burdened with decades of ongoing conflict and insecurity. It is also a landlocked country, which is located in a mountainous area, and the winters can be particularly harsh. It is a country which experiences extremes of temperature during summer and winter. During winter, most areas experience sub-zero temperatures as well as snow.
Many individuals and families are not properly equipped for the harsh winters, lacking the means to obtain firewood and heating oil, too poor to afford basics such as food, blankets and warm clothes - and unfortunately, children and the elderly are particularly vulnerable and freeze to death under such awful and dire circumstances.
When the MOAB (Mother of All Bombs) was dropped a number of famlies were internally displaced and living in the streets. We will assist some of these families.
Noble Connection is a community organisation based in London which has identified an urgent need to distribute assistance to as many vulnerable children and adults as possible. Although the Afghan government is trying to help and prepare, we feel that there may be another harsh winter this year and many people need your help to survive this winter.
We appeal to your kindness and generosity to help Noble Connection support as many people as possible survive this winter. The packs will include items ranging from the following list:
Food: 3KG Rice, 3KG Beans, 12KG Salt, 1 Bottle of Oil, 3.5KG Sugar, 1KG Tea. The cost of this quantity of food will be £15.
Clothing: 3 Sets of clothes for male, 3 sets of clothes for female (can be sewn for both adults or children), 3 jackets. The cost of these clothes is £25.
You can also contact us if you wish to help us in fundraising through stalls, Qabuli Pilaw sales or even your own ideas and so on. To help the most vulnerable make it through the freezing temperatures - we must work together as humans to help some of the neediest people in the world. 100% of your donations will be used for buying relief supplies.
We have our Noble Connection members on the ground in Afghanistan ready to support those in need ahead of the winter with your generous donations.
