Hello there friend. My name is Annie and I'm raising money for a wheelchair which I urgently need.
I am currently a 20 year old living in Aberystwyth with undiagnosed MS. I am currently in the system however it is very slow and fustrating being on waiting lists for so many different consultants.
In 2012 I slipped two disks in my lumbar region and was left in agonising pain down my left leg due to a sciatic nerve being trapped.

After months of intensive physiotherapy and acupuncture I dropped out of University to be operated on. Two days before Christmas I was given a lower lumbar microdisectomy by Dr Grainger of Spire Southbank Hospital and it was truly the best gift I could have been given. I woke up with no pain and I felt I could truly get back on with living my life.
I am a fighter and I have a huge amount of determination and grit to not allow my disability and pain to restrict me, however, on this occassion rather than raising money for others I find I'm in the situation where I need to raise money for myself. I'm not saying that a wheelchair will reduce the amount of pain that I am in because I would be lying if I said I did. The pain isn't the thing that bothers me. The thing that bothers me is that I have so much to give and to show to the world and this is restricting me from reaching my true potential. By having a wheelchair I would have my life back. A wheelchair would allow me to socialise, to work and most importantly to inspire others that no matter how hard your life gets, you have to keep fighting.
Any donation is hugely appreciated and I cannot stress how grateful I am to still be alive and fighting my hardships of life.

I was enjoying life until Feburary 2013 where I was involved in a car accident and my life has spiralled down since. I was given a spinal block in June 2013 which unfortunately failed to reduce any of the excruciating pain. Once again I was given physiotherapy to relearn how to walk again as the accident had left me with huge weakness' in both my legs and I was relying on mobility aids such as walking sticks to get around. Since September 2013 my health has slowly been deteriorating to the point where I am constantly in and out of A & E just to try and manage the flair ups I experience. I take a huge cocktail of medication which sadly in April 2014 resulted in me losing my hair.

Despite this hardship I managed to remain positive and even managed to raise £2,500 for MS society.

I work two gruelling part time jobs* to afford to live as I am a student, however, with my mobility problems I am often left bedridden after long hours or in extreme amounts of pain when I make any attempt to walk. As a result of this I have had to have my hours lowered and so can no longer afford to put money away to save up for the vital need of a wheelchair in my life.
* I recently lost one of my jobs due to my health and now only work in Iceland part time.
