Operation Underground Railroad
My husband, Wes is a 37 year old father of four. Family has always loomed large in his life. I will tell you Wes is actually the largest of all my children! He is strong-willed, driven, full of faith and filled with compassion for those unable to help themselves.
Wes participates in the Teammates mentoring program as an additional outreach program at an area local high school. Mentoring allows the opportunity to help youth on another level as they grow during the most formative years of their lives.
Recently an opportunity arose to participate in mission trips, with Operation Underground Railroad, to countries where children are being taken advantage of. Some of these children are being sold to the highest bidder to slavery. Others are being sold in the horrific world of child prostitution and sex trafficking.
These children do not have the same level of safety afforded to our own children. They do not have guardians protecting them from danger. These children are being preyed upon and they need protection and liberation.
Wes and I feel the immediate drive to be a part of these missions. Every child deserves a chance. Without help a majority of these children will never realize their opportunities or dreams. I am exteremly proud of my husbands' desire to travel to a foreign country and put his safey at risk to save these helpless children.
