Hi! My name is Clara Stewart, I'm an ultimate frisbee player and high school senior from Arlington MA. I was recently selected to represent the United States on the USA U20 Women's National Team at WJUC (the World Junior Ultimate Championships) this August in Waterloo, Canada. I am unbelievably excited and honored to play on this team but it is an expensive adventure and I would love any help I can get!!
I fell in love with ultimate frisbee the moment I walked onto a pickup game during 8th grade. I helped to start the ultimate team at my high school, captained it for a couple of years, and I'm starting a girls ultimate team there this year. I've also played on BUDA, the girls' youth club team from the Boston area at Youth Club Championships, and this past summer I played on Siege (a women's regional-level club team from Boston). BUDA has placed 3rd and 4th in the country during the years I've played on it, Siege placed 4th at regionals, and I've won an All-State award for sportsmanship and leadership. Ultimate is a huge part of my life. I've been given so many opportunities through playing frisbee- meeting new people and being able to travel to Minnesota, Colorado, Maryland, and just about everywhere in New England. I'm inspired by so many awesome people who play this sport, and I'm constantly in awe of the athleticism, competition, integrity and sportsmanship that run deep in the ultimate community and in the Spirit of the Game.
Competing at worlds representing the USA alongside some of the dopest young women I know would mean the world to me! I am so grateful for the opportunity and for every teammate, coach, and mentor who has helped me get to this point.
I am raising funds for the expenses that go with being part of the USA national team, including a training camp, the tournament fee, transportation, and more. Please consider donating to or sharing my campaign with friends and family!!
