WHUMC Imagines No Malaria

At the 2014 Virginia Annual Conference we accepted Bishop Cho’s challenge to raise enough money as a conference to save 100,000 lives through the Imagine No Malaria initiative. The money will be used for an assortment of life saving techniques, such as providing bed nets.

We here at Westover Hills UMC are excited to announce our fundraising campaign, which aims to attack the disease of malaria with a healthy living approach by participating in the Richmond Marathon, 1/2 Marathon and 8k on November 15, 2014 as well as the associated children’s ½ mile and 1 mile run that will take place on October 25th.
One of the greatest things about this is that everyone you know can participate and help us reach our goal of $7,500.00!
Remember, someone is dying every 60 seconds from this preventable disease. Let’s join together to raise awareness and funds in our effort to Imagine No Malaria.
