Vicki Lapp's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
This GoFundMe page was set up to help Vicki Lapp with medical expenses related to her breast cancer journey. She was diagnosed in September 2015 with HER2+ breast cancer, stage 2b.  Her initial treatments led to a clear PET scan, but in May 2017 the lump recurred.

Vicki has faith that the universe provides and abundance is unlimited. As much as she loves running her business, Bead Inspirations, dealing with medical treatments takes so much time that her income-producing energy is limited. And after two years of treating her cancer, her funds for additional treatments are running short.

She has devoted a huge amount of time researching the various cancer treatment options, and the ones she has the most faith in are not covered by insurance.

For the past few months she has been trying to get the insurance company to approve her getting immunotherapy (which worked for her the first time she had cancer) but they keep rejecting that option. Even if they do finally give approval, she would still like to be able to get complementary/alternative treatments at the same time. She has learned from other survivors that the complementary/alternative treatments are vital to keeping her immune system from getting depleted by the harder drugs, which minimizes the chance of another recurrence, which if it were to happen, could be the dreaded and "uncurable" metastasis.

After talking to other cancer survivors, she has found that the cost of these treatments and supplements can easily reach $50,000 over the course of a year.  That is why she is seeking help from family, friends, and other generous people to give any amount they feel called to give.

Since her diagnosis, Vicki has affirmed that something wonderful will come out of all of this. She envisions a long, healthy and joyful life for herself, where she can give of her talents and gifts to contribute to make the world a better place. Although the cancer is a challenge, she sees it as an opportunity to grow in her spirituality to be an instrument of God’s peace, joy and love.

As a life-long self-sufficient person, it has been profoundly growthful to allow herself to receive the kind gifts of service and money from the community. She is humbled and deeply moved by the opportunity to step away from her lifelong strategy of self-sufficiency to witness so much generosity of spirit from others. She very much appreciates any help you feel called to provide. Thank you for your generosity in considering a gift toward this cause.
