Smith-Scotland's New Axle
So in the one step forward two steps back department.... Craig Scotland & Deanna Smith-Scotland were driving home from their first trade show in Seacaucus NJ, when (50 miles from Texarkana and about 4 hours from home on highway 30) a truck passed them, the passenger hanging out of the window, gesturing wildly. They pulled over to find that the rear passenger brake on their beloved van Van Cliburn was ON FIRE. Craig grabbed the fire extinguisher and put it out. A friend saw them and doubled back to help. Craig and Deanna are safe, but Van Cliburn needs a new rear axle, brakes etc. And they also had to rent a truck to get their photographs back so they can perform and sell their photographs at Texas Scottish Festival. All of this falls on top of having JUST had to replace poor Van's transmission in March. It's too much for full-time artists. Can you help? $1, $10, $25? Every little bit helps keep their art alive for our enjoyment!
