This is Valeria she is my beautiful 15 year old niece.
She lives in Guatemala. She was born with "Tetralogy of Fallot", which is a congenital heart condition, and now needs a "Pulmonary Valve Replacement".
In Guatemala the doctors do not have the experience with this type of procedure. So I turned to the doctors near Barrington Illinois. Which is the city I live in. I was able to get a great one that is specialist in valve replacements in Advocate Children Hospital and they have quoted us $50,000.00 for the procedure.
So now I decided to turn to you and ask for help making this procedure possible for her as soon as possible. Because the hospital is asking for upfront payment since she will be an international self pay patient.
We intent to pay the surgery and all costs associated to it with the help we get from all of you.
There is no little help and everything will be highly appreciated by her and our family.

About me I am a Preschool Bilingual Special education Teacher that work for the Elgin school District in Illinois. I was born in Guatemala and moved to this wonderful country 11 years ago. Valeria is my niece and I have 2 wonderful girls one 13 and one 4 year old.
Important Information:
Valeria is planning to come to Illinois on April 14 since Her first appointment is in April 16 with Dr. Ilbawi at Christ advocate children hospital in Oak Lawn Illinois. He is one of this hospitals top pediatric surgeon and this hospital has agreed to work with us during this times. The donations collected here are going to cover her medical expenses. Valeria will be staying with me Her aunt in Barrington Illinois through this process.

Valeria vive en Guatemala ella nació con una enfermedad congénita en el corazón llamada "Tetralogía de Fallot", ahora necesita el Reemplazo de la Válvula Pulmonar.
En Guatemala los médicos no tienen mucha experiencia con este tipo de procedimientos. Así que busque algún medico cerca de donde yo vivo en Barrington Illinois. Encontré un especialista en reparación de válvulas en un hospital llamado Advócate Children Hospital. Luego de comunicarme con ellos me hicieron un presupuesto de $50,000.00 por el procedimiento.
Ahora me acerco a ustedes a pedirles ayuda para poder realizarle este procedimiento lo mas pronto posible. Ya que por ella ser una paciente internacional es clasificada como paga personal y piden el pago en completo antes de realizar el procedimiento.
Como imaginan la familia incurrirá en muchos gastos como el traslado para Illinois para realizar el procedimiento.
Cualquier ayuda por muy pequeña será muy apreciada por ella y su familia.

Un poco sobre mi. Yo nací en Guatemala y vine a vivir a Estados Unidos hace 11 años. Yo trabajo para el distrito Elgin U-46 como maestra de Educación preescolar. Valeria es mi sobrina y yo tengo 2 preciosas hijas una de 13 y otra de 4.

Valeria planea llegar a Illinois el 14 de abril ya que su primera cita es el 16 de Abril con el Dr. Ilbawi en el hospital Christ advocate children hospital. El es un cirujano pediatra de este hospital. Las donaciones recibidas en esta pagina se usarán para los gastos médicos de esta operación.
