In Memory of Richard Darland

On Tuesday, September 19th, my family received devastating news. At 5 PM, Richard Darland, my father's elderly uncle went to be with Our Lord. He was assualted by a man on the front porch of his home and passed away on the way to the hospital.

My father’s uncle was the most kind hearted and high spirited man, who always had a smile on his face. He never let anyone leave a family event or gathering without getting a few pictures with everyone there. Memories are so important. He recognized that and captured every memory he got a chance to.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Melissa Joy. He is survived by wife Elaine; daughters Malinda Cooper and Roseanna (Keith) Allen; grandchildren Rex-Richard and Isaac Cooper; Derrick, Janelle, Kevin and Lacey Allen; siblings Corrinne Lindemuth, Naomi Snow, Chuck Darland and Sylva Robinson.

My father’s uncle left behind a wonderful loving wife of many years. The money raised here will be for her benefit to handle necessary expenses. They were both retired and had only a limited fixed income.

The money raised will ease the financial burden and will be deeply appreciated.
