Help my class purchase a UV-Vis!

My IB chemistry class is in need of a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, an expensive but necessary piece of equipment that is used to determine concentrations of substances. As school budgets continue to dwindle, important scientific equipment like this is not usually accessible to students at the high school level.
IB Chemistry students are required to conduct individual experiments, and quite often, students choose research topics that require data that can only be obtained with a UV-Vis. These research papers count as 20% of a student's overall grade and gives them a chance to investigate a topic that is of personal interest to them. Without equipment like the UV-Vis, students are limited in what research topics they can examine, which can impact their learning as well as their future academic careers.
My students begin their investigations next month, and a UV-Vis will enable them to select topics that would otherwise be impossible for them. Please help give access to this unique range of research topics the UV-Vis will afford students.
