UCA Senior Missions Trip Robbery

Thank you for all of your prayers. We have had a tremendous outpouring of love for our youth. It has been amazing to see how many people have offered to help from our local little community to loads of FB friends and family.
Most of you know the story but here's a little recap...
On Saturday our senior class landed in Texas to go on their senior trip. This wasn't just a regular ole senior trip to go to have fun in the sun. This was a senior trip that was mission based. Our children voted and choose to go witness to children and teens that have been rescued from crime and drugs. Our Seniors did fund raisers for 4 years (bake sales, auctions, yard sales, etc.) to have enough funds to support going on this trip. They gave up countless hours learning songs, crafts, VBS materials, skits, dances, and bible lessons. They also had some excursions planned along the way. So shortly after they landed they made a stop and decided to visit the Alamo. Upon arriving back at the van they realized someone had broken in and robbed each one that had been in that vehicle. Can you imagine getting that phone call from your child the very first time away from home!? Some were left penniless and no longer had IDs! Wondering how can I even pay for food and how will I get back home with no ID.
So many of you have asked how you can help. These kids have expressed guilt on how they could've prevented this. Seriously, they were parked in an open lot, the car was locked, and they had so much luggage and VBS items that they had no place to hide their back-packs. Someone must have preyed on seeing a large group get out of a van knowing good and well that they wouldn't be coming back for a while. They boldly broke in to the van in broad day light!

Your help would be such a weight and burden lifted off of these girls. Some of these items need to be replaced while still on the trip. The monies will be distributed to everyone as needed. If there is anything left over we will give it to the camp mission program.
