Supplies and Aid Needed for Philippines Typhoon Victims - Following Devastating Typhoon from October 31- November 12, 2020

HELP ME LIGHT UP THE HOPES AND HOMES OF THE FAMILIES IN OUR COUNTRY!

My name is Elisa and I am a Virtual Assistant. I set up this page aiming to raise funds to donate Supplies and Aid for the typhoon victims in Metro Manila and nearby cities and provinces affected by 4 devastating typhoons that washed over different regions in the Philippines especially the low-lying areas with low-income families.

We (my family) ourselves are victims but had the opportunity to cope up faster than most of the people. That is why I am looking to gather help for others who are needing it the most this time.

The photos above are showing the aftermath of the Super Typhoon Goni, Atsani, Etau, and Vamco in the cities and provinces of Luzon-Visayas region of the Philippines. The Southern Luzon is somehow the common pathway of the typhoons in the Philippines but the most recent Super Typhoon and others that followed really taken it's toll. Billions of property damages had been accounted and the worst part- is the difficulty of the people to cope and get back to their feet due to the amount of damage in the most basic utilities they need. Some areas were flash-flooded, some experienced more with landslides. I cannot even fathom the situation when I browse through the news and social media as it is just becoming too much for this year.

Reports say that it can take up to early next year to fix the power lines for most of the towns in the Southern part of the region and the rescue operations and requests for help and donations are still pouring all over the provinces because most of the families will have to start from scratch as their houses were the most affected ones. This will definitely drag the the process of rehabilitation; not to mention that we are already suffering from the effects of the pandemic.

As I have mentioned, many families lost homes from the devastation. At this point, we can start helping by giving out basic needs of food stocks (easy to cook or cooked meals) and some clothing. These things are somehow provided by the government but these people are literally starting from zero thus to continue supporting them for the upcoming weeks is crucial especially those who are most vulnerable at this time (children and elderly). To provide cleaning and sanitizing products is also important specially that we are still in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic.

Please join me in this cause. I am just a simple citizen who can only contribute this idea to help my countrymen and townspeople. Any amount is welcome as long as it comes from a giving heart. My heart is bleeding and I wish I can lift my efforts to help others and this is the first step I came to think about.

Rest assured that all the donations will be properly accounted and will be distributed to those in need. Not any less but more because I have been trying my best to help out people long before these calamities.
