Fundraiser for Tyler Carbonaro, camillus NY

Donation protected

Tyler was on his way home from a normal shift at work, Wednesday afternoon. Walking from the plaza across from Fast Trac to his apartment in the village of Camillus, something he’s done quite regularly. But Wednesday was different, a gloomy colder day warm enough to melt the snow but still brisk for a 3 mile walk home. Seemingly the train tracks are safer, more appealing walk than walking on Milton ave with no shoulder. Listening to music nearly to the village Tyler’s life was soon changed horribly. Following Tyler was a west bound train, and due to Tyler’s music he was unable to hear the train. At roughly 4 pm Tyler was struck from the back taking serious injuries to his left side, arm and leg. He was quickly taken by ambulance to upstate where he endured a rough night. In critical condition he was put into a coma, and he Survived. With a long road ahead of him he will need as much help as he will take.

Tyler is a hard working, good kid. He cares about his friends and the people around      him. I haven’t know him too long but I saw       something in him, how thankful and great   full he was for some of the simplest
gestures. One of the first calls he had made was to make sure he could still work and
pay his rent.

I have know Tyler maybe for a month, he    was a friend of a friend that I’ve been             seeing around more and more. I’ve given     him rides when I see him or a wave when    he walks by, I was nearby at the time of the accident and had figured out it was him
through social media.  Quickly reaching outto other who knew him, the smiles he put   on everyone’s faces quickly turned to           worries and prayers. Though he wasn’t         close to many, he had touched many with     his caring, happy vibe.

After speaking with him he is utterly
greatful for a second chance and eager to progress, already talking about work. Tyler  didn’t expect my call but voiced pure
happiness, learning that we care. I’m not
sure of his complete situation but I know
he’s nearly alone.  He had recently just started his job and he is new to his
apartment. Respectfully said, I am unsure  of his family standings or if they are in the
picture. I do know that recently Tyler was    very exited he had just met a new girl.

due to his financial situation let alone hospital costs Tyler will have a long hard      road ahead.
