What could Tunnel Theatre Company do with $5,000?
Some crazy good theatre. But, actually.
Tunnel Theatre Company is a new theatre company formed by two young and tenacious theatre artists inspired by the unbalanced ratio of opportunity-seekers and actual opportunities in New York City.
We are two ambitious young women who started this venture with no money and no patience. We did not wait until we got comfortable. We landed near-death survival jobs and spent every penny of our "savings" (aka:groceries) on this company. We would love to prove to artists that we are not powerless. If you want to create, you can. If you are met by an obstacle, build yourself a tunnel. At least with a tunnel, there are no barriers.
Tunnel Theatre Company's debut production, "Scab", by Sheila Callaghan was performed in February 2013 at The Bridge Theatre @ Shetler Studios in New York City. This coming of age story about newfound adults growing into their shoes in the real world, was a fitting production to kick-off the company's premiere. Company founders, Kaitlyn Frotton and Jillian Carucci acted in the production, which also featured Mark Banik*, Nick Anastasia, and Tony-Award winning actress, Alice Ripley* (* indicates members of Actor's Equity Association).
In order to put more productions on stage this year, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Our Mission is to propel artists into the next phase of their professional careers by providing them with the means necessary to perform their best work, with the best people, in the best city in the world. We aim to inspire and empower artists to stop making excuses for themselves, stop waiting for that callback, stop waiting those tables, and do what we came here to do.

We're young and broke...but really friggin' talented.

Tunnel Theatre will perform the piece at Roy Arias Studios & Theatres - August 23, 24, 25th.
