Treasures for the Children
Last year, my little boy Jaydon was hospitalized at Arkansas Childrens Hospital for dehydration......We were there for one whole week.....We were one floor below the ward that the cancer patients occupied....Outside you could look up and see the children staring out the window, you could see them in the courtyard walking while hooked up to iv's etc, you could see the parents mentally wore out and could hear the children crying in some rooms........My experience has been with me since we left and will stay with me a lifetime.....My family was lucky to leave those doors as one, many are not.
I wish I could help in other ways but decided I could help where I can so I have started this project and my wish is to keep it going each year......
The donation will be made in the honor of Hannah Grace Crumby ( pictured above)...Hannah was diagnosed with Luekemia in Spet 2009 and battled this disease until December 8, 2009....Hannah continues to touch my life and I am very excited to be able to make a donation in her name!
Many young children fight cancer each day and many go thru more than we would ever imagine...I was able to see first hand many little ones fighting and was able to visit with a nurse there.....I was quickly humbled seeing them fighting a fight many have fought and lost....These children are sometimes confined to their rooms due to the illness and will never experience a "normal" childhood.....Many parents are there around the clock and are forced to lose there jobs and money in scarce........The head nurse informed me many of these lil angels never have toys, stuffed animals or even books to read....None given the chance to play with a toy, color in a book or read a book for that matter......We can help.
Help give to the children of Arkansas Childrens Hospital....Many little ones fight everyday to have another day. Many do not have toys, stuffed animals or books to experience the same as a healthy child.......My goal is to give the children of Arkansas Childrens hospital some gifts to help them expereince some childhood fun and have a Wonderful Easter.
My goal is $5000 but will take any number to help these little ones.
