Help Me Go To Honduras

Donation protected
Aloha ohana and friends,

In 2010, I first met Christafari at a live show on Maui. I was immediately drawn to the message of Pastor Mark Mohr, the founder and lead singer of Christafari. We both have similar testimonies of overcoming drug addiction through the power of Jesus Christ.  I also was heavily impacted with the concept of using the gospel reggae music of Christafari to lead others to Christ. I instantly thought I would love to be a part of this ministry and use my talents in any way.

That’s exactly what I did. I offered to volunteer at the resource table at all of their shows on Maui. Which lead me to following the band to other islands to do the same. This wasn’t for personal gain, I just wanted to do what God was leading by serving and helping tell others of the hope in Jesus.

Soon that lead to helping the band get other ministry opportunities while touring in Hawaii. During this time I worked as a full time librarian assistant at Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus, and returning back to work after being on break and touring with Christafari in Hawaii. Transitioning from full time ministry with the band back to working at the library was very difficult for me. My heart was always with the ministry of Christafari.

During a medical leave and hysterectomy surgery almost 3 years ago, I chose to leave my regular 9-5 job in the secular world to be a full-time musicianary (musical missionary) with Christafari. With the full support of my husband and six children, I’ve taken on the responsibility of the ministry tour coordinator, and full time manager for Christafari.

The Lord has truly blessed the ministry in the last few years. I have had the honor of coordination as many as 170 ministry events each year and seen thousands come to Christ as the fruit of my labor. I’ve visited California, New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Rode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Delaware and Florida twice. Its been a wild ride following Jesus on this adventure.

2015, has been a whirlwind year and we’ve only finished the first two months. In Christafari’s 25 years of ministry, they’ve never had two major back-to-back tours with such an exhausting and relentless schedule. While the past six weeks have been brutal on for the group physically, emotionally and mentally, they have been the most rewarding, refining and defining for them spiritually with over 30,000 decisions for Christ so far this year!

Christafari has just returned from a three week missions to trip to Kenya. They ministered 14 times in 14 days. It was very hot, dusty and there were plenty of mosquitos (with malaria) to avoid. However, that was well worth the 21,260 decisions for Christ, which is our greatest harvest ever.  Glory to God!

I'm so excited to announce that I'll be joining Christafari on my first full fledged missions trip to Honduras on April 9-21, 2015. It is the second poorest country in Central America.

I'm stepping out in faith to join Christafari on the mission field in a country that I've never visited before with a language that I don’t even speak!

My First Christafari Missions Trip

This is the first time ever we are opening up a missions trip to the public. There will be a team of us going to support Christafari and our efforts to share the gospel through music. Our main goal there is to see as many souls come to Christ as possible. We will also be a part of many other ministry opportunities like street evangelism, compassionate ministries (feeding programs, working with at-risk youth, and providing medical assistance…etc.) and possibly some light work like painting or cleaning.

My Needs

As a musicianary (musical missionary), I need to raise all my own financial support and fundraise to meet all the commitments to join Christafari on the mission field to Honduras. I need to cover my own airfare to travel from Maui over 4,500 hundred miles across the Pacific Ocean to get to Honduras, pay for lodging, ground and sea transportation and food. My goal is to raise $2500 which is the estimated costs to fund this trip.

We will be ministering in these cities: Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, Siguatepeque, Tela, La Ceiba and on the island of Roatan.

I cannot go without your financial and spiritual help! Most of all, please pray for our mission, the Lord’s provision, our safety, unity, health and a tremendous harvest of souls as we continue to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Honduras and the rest of the world, until all have heard.

You invest in eternity every time you use your money to bring others to Jesus. When you help us go on a mission trip, you are making an investment in God’s Global Fund. Imagine arriving in Heaven to be greeted by someone saying “You spent your money to help spread the Good News to my village in Honduras, even though you’d never seen us before. Because you gave, I’m now a follower of Christ. I’m in Heaven because of you!”
