Tommy’s 500k In June Running Challenge

Donation protected
In April, a 5k run/walk, was due to take place as a fundraiser for the Rainbow Unit in Scoil Mhuire Primary School, Coolcotts in my home town of Wexford but Unfortunately due to Covid 19, this did not take place. For anyone who doesn’t know, the Rainbow Unit is for children on the autism spectrum. As a runner, I have decided to challenge myself to run 500k, for the month of June in order to raise funds for this wonderful facility. The Rainbow Unit is a special place where kids on the spectrum are seen as equals, encouraged to progress and supported in every way. Having your child in a place who accepts the kids for who they are, sees the potential where others do not and appreciates the struggles that our kids go through daily to do the "normal tasks" in life is a blessing and a comfort. Knowing  that every member of staff of the unit are rooting for your child and willing him or her to progress and learn as much as you are is heart warming. The unit see kids firstly as kids, then as cheeky, charming, handsome, intuitive, loving and talented little people not just kids with Autism So please support me and give what you can for this wonderful unit.
