Timothy Tanner: Paralympics 2016

Timothy (Stephen) Tanner is on the journey to not only represent the visually impaired community but the nation in the 2016 Paralympics in Brazil! Scouted in 2014 after his first track meet at the Tennessee School for the Blind, his potential was clearly seen by winning all first place medals in his last three track seasons. Being coached by a former Paralympian, Timothy is ready to endure the training ahead and has already adjusted his lifestyle for success. Tim Tanner has had an exciting year culminating in representing the USA at the 2015 World Paralympic Championships in Doha, Qatar. He is currenly ranked 14th in the World, 5th in the Amercias, & 2nd in the Nation in 100m, 200m and 400m. He left 2015 with an outstanding record! He is already on the radar for the 2016 USA Paralympics in Brazil. There are two races that demand his presence to seal his opportunity to be considered for the USA Paralympic Team. 1) Desert Challenge, May 11- 14, 2016 and 2) the 2016 Paralympic Team Trails held in Charlotte, NC, June 30 - July 3, 2016.
