Expenses to Transport Thelma Home

Please help us pay for the expenses of Thelma's full body transportation back home to the Philippines. We are raising money to help her body transported back to the Philippines so her family, friends and relatives can see her for one last time.
Thelma Batausa Vaño was born and raised in a simple family in Tubigon, Bohol by a loving and caring mother, Gregoria and a brillant educator Esperidion. Growing up in a big family of 13 kids (5 of which died young) had bit tough which mold her to the strong mother/woman she was. Found love with Noah Vaño and married at the age of 29. Their bittersweet marriage ended soon when Noah died in 1982, leaving her with their posthumous baby girl and 3 boys, ages 6, 5 and 1. Having to raise four kids on her own, she had to double, even triple her efforts in finding extra money to feed four mouths not including her own. From selling RTW, bra, panty, encyclopedia to longganisa and Amway products, she has done it all.
She spent half of her life molding young minds, 35 years of service in the teaching force. Taught grade 1 in Pandan in her first year of teaching. Another 19 years teaching grade 2 in Tubigon Central the demonstration class (top 30 of the whole grade 2 population). Then another 5 years as training instructor in the Elementary Laboratory School. Had an early retirement in 1991 and decided to try looking for greener pasture overseas as English teacher in Riyadh, Saudi and Seoul, Korea for 4 years. In 1997, got rehired by Dep Ed and taught at Payatas and San Atonio Elementary School teaching all grade levels while having private tutorials at night.
After 10 gruelling years of teaching, she finally retired in 2007. She then focused on her immigrant visa to the US from her sister Susan's petition, which had her waiting for 23 years. When in the US, she tried teaching toddlers at Kids R Kids, but realized she was already too old for those rug rats. The hard working and active woman that she is, wouldn't allow herself to waste away at home and even tried care giving. Until she realized she had enough of working and spent most of her time with her family in the Philippines and the US, hoping to make up for the time lost when she was too busy making living.
When she is not busy with household chores, praying or pre-occupied with her favorite game, bookworm, she spends a great deal of her time on Facebook, reconnecting with old friends and relatives. She enjoys chatting with friends on messenger, reminiscing the good old days as if it just happened yesterday.

And right up until she became less able to get around, she was always eager to help out no matter what the problem was.
She always give us the spirit to look ahead and always optimist to try to realize our dreams, no matter how hard or how long it takes. That we just have trust God and the plans He has for us.
Our lasting memories of her are: hard-working, a figure of strength who never waned in her support or love for her family, and who soldiered on, even when times were tough.
