Rebuild My Home

Donation protected
Can you imagine losing all of your belongings- family photographs, keep sakes, clothing, literally everything to your name- because your house was destroyed by a fire? Sounds like a nightmare, right? This nightmare became a reality to my family on the afternoon of September 21st. By the grace of God, my mother was able to escape just in time. However, everything was destroyed or damaged. The day came that my mom had to stand in her sweaty capris watching helplessly as your house burned down. Thick black smoke billowed to the sky, taking along with it the material trappings of our lives. The clock ticked to remind us that we were no longer running as we were just moments before.
Just moments before, when my mother was enjoying the sunny September morning, thinking about what she was going to cook for dinner… but then she turned the corner.
She mentioned that she thought, “Hmmm, that’s strange, why is there a dark cloud up ahead? As you get closer little bits of understanding fill in your consciousness, that’s not a cloud, that’s smoke. Wait, that smoke’s coming from my house. And then, it registered: My house is on fire!”!
My mother has called this slice of heaven our home for over 50+ years, and in a matter of minutes we lost everything. Furniture, clothing, pictures, memories, etc. Recovering from this house fire is not the only battle we have fought. I wish I could say that we have had the ideal life but on the contrary, our life has consisted of numerous adversities in which we have proudly grown to surpass and learn from. Many of you know that a few years ago one of my brothers was shot to death and then six months later my father passed away. Leaving my mother raising us... the remaining 11 children.
We have struggled everyday with the pain of witnessing and enduring such great losses while focusing on the daily, often simple, joys of life. They have taught us that life can be unexpectedly cruel and short, but those moments and now losing our home must not be solely moments of loss. Although, these hardships have been difficult, we are grateful that we are all okay especially our mother. This has only given us maturity, discipline, and perspective.
Unfortunately, we didn't have home insurance so nothing can be replaced. We are wide aware that material things can be replaced but when you work hard for everything you own and it's gone within a blink of an eye it's really life changing.
The unexpected financial burden that follows such an event is overwhelming, and the process can be long when trying to rebuild our home.
Therefore, we are asking you all to please find it in your hearts to consider donating towards helping us rebuild our home. Each dollar contributed adds up. Any amount you can afford will be greatly appreciated. This was an unfortunate circumstance for my family, but someday, it may be others asking for help in some way. If a monetary donation is not in your budget, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Before this post gets any longer, I would like to stop and say in regards from my family that we whole heartily thank each and every one of you that’s has shown up to see how we are and whom have called or texted us. Seriously thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Little did we know we had so many people in our corner that truly care.
Please pray that our ungrounded becomes grounded, for our health, and for our unity. Thank you all in advance, God bless.
P.s. - After all, this to shall pass and we will rise stronger than ever.

On Thursday Sep 21, 2017, my mother lost the home that shes lived in for over 40 years, in El Paso, TX. Its believed that the fires started  due to an elictrical shortage. Unfortunately my mother didn't have insurance on her house and now we are asking for help, so  we can restore her home. She's lost everything, as she only escaped the fire with only the clothes on her back.  Any help that can help her rebuild a home for her is greatly appreciated . May God Bless You for helping us.
