The Franks Family

Robert Scott Franks recently passed away in the early morning of July 27th after battling a neuro-degenerative disease, Olivopontocerebellar Atrophy (OPCA), for many years. Even so, Scotty remained comfortable and surrounded by those who loved him most in his final days. He was a beloved husband to Lisa, father to Anthony and Ashton, and dear friend to every member of our community. Scotty was often found holding down the fort of his family's home in Bridgeville. He was usually the first hello you got upon entering and the last goodbye on your way out. If you stopped by for a Pens game, you more than likely were asked to get yourself a beer and to bring Scotty one as well. He treated so many people who entered his home-whether it was for the first or fifteenth time-as a friend who had a story they could share with him. He asked how you were doing, he asked about your parents, your friends and siblings and where everyone was going to college, and sometimes he just had to let you know he disagreed with a call during the Pens game. If you are lucky enough to know the Franks family, you have probably watched them selflessly care for Scotty every day and we would now like to return the incredible debt of love and kindness they have shown to Scotty by acting as a support system to care for those closest to him during this incredibly difficult time. In doing so, we are seeking to share the financial burden of Scotty’s passing with his family. As his passing reminds us what a wonderful life he was able to live, we would like to ask for your generosity in donating to his family to help with final expenses related to his death and to remind Lisa, Anthony and Ashton that our love for Scotty will continue to grow.
