The Mary Bertain Education Fund

Mrs. Mary Bertain  passed away in March, 2020. She was a 2nd Grade teacher at St. John Eudes School in Chatsworth, California, www.sjeschool.net for nearly 20 years and retired in 1990. She gave much of her life to educating children and we ask you to donate in her honor to this GoFundMe effort -  The Mary Bertain Education Fund. Donations to the fund will be forwarded to the Sisters of the Pious Schools, half of which will be designated to be used for St. John Eudes students and half to be used to support the educational efforts of the sisters in Mexico and India. Mrs. Todorovic, one of Mrs. Bertain's children who also became a teacher and taught at St. John Eudes School, wrote that it would be “. . . a fund in her memory that can help the sisters whom she loved so much and the students who need help with either summer school or tutoring. Those are areas in which Mom always felt there should be funding available for kids who need that extra help. She used to tutor some kids for free when the moms couldn’t pay, just because the child needed the help so much.” Please help fulfill Mrs. Bertain's wishes to support children in their educational goals.
