NFNLB - None Forgotten, None Left Behind
On Sunday, November 30, 2014, Jim “JC” Conklin, a US Marine veteran, was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident while on the way to a charity run to help fellow veterans.  JC was a member of the Central Florida Chapter of the Leatherneck Motorcycle Club and actively participated in his church, his Bible study and in veteran activities in Central Florida.  Only weeks before his death, JC was leading the local fight to keep the name of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi in the public eye during his months of incarceration in a Mexican jail by holding a fundraiser to provide financial assistance for Sgt. Tahmooressi’s defense fund.  In addition, JC was a significant contributor to the Josh Stevens Foundation, an anti-bullying and kindness program targeting youth by directing them to acts of kindness.  JC was instrumental in introducing the Josh Stevens Foundation to schools in central Florida.  Now it’s time to step up and help the wife of a man who gave so much of himself.  

Several years ago, JC and his wife Lori decided that he would continue his successful career in the technology field and she would concentrate on caring for their small farm in Lake County, FL.,developing their mutual interest in breeding English Shire horses.  They’d recently purchased the second of their Shires with the intention of beginning their breeding in the spring.  JC’s accident has now brought those plans to a halt.  Since the accident and his untimely death, JC’s wife Lori has incurred tremendous expenses in caring for their home and the horses they had purchased by herself.  Lori intends to sell the horses, but for now is continuing to experience the financial burden of caring for them and of the other daily expenses involved with facing her immediate future without her partner.  This fundraising site has been set up to assist the wife of a downed brother, a US Marine veteran, in easing her transition into this new and unexpected part of her life.  Any amount will help, big or small.  All donations will go directly to Lori Conklin to cover funeral expenses, living expenses and care of their two horses until arrangements can be made for their sale.
