My name is Tima and my goal is to complete the Explorer Grand Slam and use the achievement as a platform to:
1- Raise awareness on global warming and take ownership of our own climate actions!
2- Inspire people around the world to make bold moves to achieve their goals.
The challenge is to climb the highest mountain on every continent and ski to the last degree of the North Pole and the South Pole.
From 71 explorers around the world only 15 women have ever completed the challenge - more people and women went to space!
I have already climbed 6 of the 7 summits - INCLUDING MOUNT EVEREST, so I’m very close!
This journey started in 2016 and it's been filled with setbacks and rejections but I refuse to stop trying because over the past 7 years I have learned this is not just a personal dream - this is about paving the road for more people to dream big and be themselves without being afraid.
The last two expeditions left to complete the challenge are:
1 – Mount Vinson and South Pole (Target: December 2022)
2- North Pole (Target: April 2023)
The only remaining barrier to make this happen is the financial cost. As such the objective of this campaign is to have as many people support with whatever they can (even with just the gofundme minimum which is $5) — every little bit is a step closer to achieve this goal.
People said that this is a long shot, but every worthy goal deserves all you got, and I am hoping you will share my courage and conviction to take on this challenge. Here’s to all in. Here’s to #breakingbarriers
