On March 30, 2016, Teresa “Tre” Jackson would complain of back pain and a severe headache that would prompt her fiancé Kevin to bring her to the ER. After several hours and some CT Scans, they determined that Tre had a large L-shaped mass in her brain. After being transported from Southwest General Hospital to University Hospital’s Main Campus in Downtown Cleveland, she would undergo a MRI and brain biopsy that would determine she had an inoperable Grade 4 Glioblastoma with a IDH1 Wild Type Mutation that had spread to multiple lobes of her brain.
During the past several months of chemotherapy and radiation, Tre’s health has continued to decline. This once vibrant woman, who could hold a conversation with anyone, now is struggling to find words to complete a sentence. Teresa has always been very active and always loved spending time with her grandkids and family but now has found herself fighting for her life. She has lost the ability to do many things that we take every day for granted walking, reading, picking up your grandchildren, holding conversations. Everyone has rallied around her and she is currently being cared for by fiancé and family. Friends and members of the community have also rallied around the family, offering prayers, encouragement, and support. However, there are some things they cannot do alone. With Tre’s continued declining health, end of life care and upcoming burial expenses are looming. The family should not have to worry about these or any other daily expenses. Teaming-Up 4 Tre is being created to help the family with the financial burden of her end of life expenses. We would like to ask you to join us in teaming up to help Teresa and her family. We are asking for monetary donations to help with these expenses. No amount is too big or too small and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
