Team Linus 5K at Freedom's Run

Free 5K, 10K & Half Marathon at Freedom's Run for $100 Team Linus contributors! A "TeamLinus" code has been created so donors can receive a credit on their Freedom's Run registration fee. Read on to learn more.
With Team Linus, we hope to raise the remaining $500 for Linus's Axiom Adaptive Stroller (total cost $1500). Also on our wish list for Linus is an adaptive bicycle (great for a his gait). Then, we must eventually get him a wheelchair.
All raised funds will go toward equipment for Linus's mobility. Linus loves to be outside and loves to take part in community events, and yes, he walks pretty well with our help. Nevertheless, we must make sure he is mobile in the best way for him and for his parents. Linus is getting big: 8 years old and 55 pounds!
We hope Freedom's Run 2014 will be the first of many 5K races for Linus. We are grateful for Freedom's Run's support!
If you want to help us push Linus along the 5K course, sign up as you regularly would for Freedom's Run, wear your favorite tie-dye shirt, and we'll see you October 4!
Freedom's Run runners who do not want to push but do want to support Linus can make any donation and we will be grateful! Runners who donate a total of $100 (or more) can enter the "TeamLinus" code for the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon, and have their entrance fee covered! Register for the race at www.freedomsrun.org.
Marathoners are obviously over-achievers, and Freedom's Run organizers suggest that they raise/donate a total of $200 to Team Linus. They'll earn $55 toward their Freedom's Run registration with the code "TeamLinus." (This is because it takes more resources to support longer races.)
Thank you, Mark Cucuzzella, for your generous support of Team Linus. We can all show Mark our appreciation by supporting our very own Two Rivers Treads in Downtown Historic Shepherdstown.
