Jan Lyon's Ovarian Cancer Fund

At the request of many friends and colleagues of Jan Lyon, the family has agreed to create a Go Fund Me page to assist with the long battle of which she is engaged.

In May of this year, Jan was diagnosed with advanced stage ovarian cancer. The initial medical recommendation was one of resignation that not much could be done. However, those of us that know and love Jan were not surprised when she chose to fight back. With the support of her family and her beloved AAU colleagues, Jan was relocated from Orlando ( God Bless MTM) to Indianapolis to begin her treatment.

While progress is being made, the battle continues on. Jan is currently situated in a long term care facility near family after completing several long hospital stints and a stretch in sub acute care. She is currently receiving outpatient chemotherapy as she is able to tolerate while working to regain her physical strength and mobility.

Through all this, Jan has been blessed with the overwhelming encouragement and support of many dear friends. Yet the nature of all extended health care battles is the reality of great medical expenses. The best insurance coverage is no match for today's health care system. To this end, anyone that wishes to contribute can be assured that their generous giving will be utilized to meet the expenses that occur beyond the health insurance umbrella.

Any funds that are not used will be paid forward to a cancer research fund.  Thanks again for your continued support for Jan.
