Everyone who knows our dad knows how great of a person he is. He is a champ, a fighter and he is our hero. Our Father, age 44, has been battling stage 4 colon cancer since October of 2011. Little hope was giving to us by the doctors recently but as believers in Christ Jesus our Lord and by His grace, our father is still here with us. Although the prognosis is terminal we continue to trust Gods word over the Drs. Over these past couple of years, our dad has went through over 40 chemotherapy sessions, radiation treatment, major brain surgery to remove a metastatic brain tumor, countless MRIs, CT scans, and ER visits...the hospital literally became our second home. But all the while my father has always kept a smile on his face, even when we couldn't smile. You see, when someone has cancer, the whole family and everyone who loves them, does too. This horrible disease has affected every aspect of our lives. Our dad is the backbone of our family and has always been an amazing provider. It's difficult for us to accept that he is now home on hospice care and all treatments have been stopped.
We are praying for a Miracle and still believing that God would raise him up. Our Dad is in a win-win situation: if God heals him, he is CANCER FREE, and if God decides to call him home, then he is CANCER FREE.
