Hello Friends and Family.
As most of you know, Eddie Hartsfield has been in a huge battle with some very grave health issues. He has Chronic Hepatitis C that is aggressively decompensating and Stage IV Cirrhosis of the Liver. Eddie has been in and out of the hospital many times over the past year and his condition continues to deteriorate.
Eddie is no longer able to tolerate the medications that have been used to treat these conditions in the past. He is now in desperate need of two medications to save his life. Unfortunately these medications have not yet been approved by the FDA, and Eddie's Medical Insurance is refusing to pay for the meds. The cost for the meds and needed treatments are extremely high, more than $90,000 EACH, and this family is in need of our help.
Now for those of you who don't already know it, here is the "rest of the story"---- Eddie and Carol are the owners of Bill's Extermination here in Amarillo and Carol is an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene. They are the proud parents of four adult children; Lisa, Scott, Chris and Matthew. While most of us were just deciding to sit back and enjoy our "empty nests", this precious couple accepted God's calling to become foster parents and then went on to become adoptive parents to five more beautiful children:
McKenna-12, Lynzie-12, Erin-9, Carlee-6 and Caroline-4
These Girls Need Their Daddy!!! Please help if you can!
Eddie and Carol are two of the most loving and generous people on this Earth. I have no doubt that many, if not all, of the ones who will read these words can look back over their acquaintance with the Hartsfields and think of many instances when your life was blessed because of them. Now it is our turn to bless this precious family.
I would ask that you would make this family a priority in your time of prayer. We believe that God has a good plan for the Hartsfields (Jeremiah 29:11). Please join us as we diligently pray for Eddie's complete healing. If you are able, I would also ask that you would prayerfully consider making a financial contribution to Eddie's care. In addition to the huge medical bills that have already been incurred and the bills that are yet to come, this illness has made it nearly impossible for Eddie to work and the financial strain on the family has been very great.
No amount is too small and every penny will go directly to the family.
