Even though in the book of James we are told that we have not because we ask not, as humans it is often hard to stand up and ask for help in our time of need. In 2012, I had a recurrence of Stage IV Bone Mets Breast Cancer. After a round of radiation and oral chemo, I now take monthly Zolodex injections and a daily hormone blocker. Between the cancer and the medication, I have a myriad of symptoms that continually try to overshadow my blessings, but I won’t allow it! Near the first of the year, I broke my heel and spent 4 months out of work. The loss of that income and the mounting medical bills have burdened us financially. It has been especially difficult for my sweet husband, David Luebbert, who has put off treatment for his psoriatic arthritis so that my health needs can be met. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses for a major medical situation are huge.
