What is absolutely impossible to think about-neither in childhood, nor later-that suddenly, on one terrible day, all four of your children will seriously fall ill, this disease will immediately destroy your family's life plans... The hospital - one, the second...Pills, injections, droppers, finally, the diagnosis. Not one, but a whole bunch of diagnoses associated with one disease ... ascites, and then the worst, is cirrhosis.
How many days and nights l had to live with my thoughts about how unhappy l am, the only l know. The very idea that l might just not be enough scares me. All l can do is hard work to earn money and pay for the treatment of my children. And the doctors in Tajikistan just shrug their shoulders, they don't know why my children are sick, and they can't give guarantees that they will help them recover.
For more than a month, l ran to all hospitals in India ... until the doctors from Medanta Hospital in the city of Gurgaon reached a final verdict. All four of my angels need serious medical attention. Everyone has a terrible diagnosis- Wilson's disease/ cirrhosis.
The eldest daughter had a liver transplant. The youngest daughter will also need a transplant soon. Son on rehabilitation. The average daughter is in serious condition.
Over the past few years, l have sold everything- houses, cars, my wife is jewelry.... everything, only to save my children from ... inevitability. To see their eyes full of hope, and to sit back, without action, waiting for help from nowhere- is not in my character. In my 40s, l am still a fighter. I am a former freestyle wrestling champion. Today, there is no trace of this title. Today you see an absolutely gray-haired father, behind who are thousands of sleepless nights. But l is still a fighter. And my children can be helped- in India; the best doctors are waiting for them.
Unfortunately, the cost of treatment is very high. But without proper treatment, my children will not survive. They have the last stage of cirrhosis.
