Tackle Cancer with Brian Suite

Donation protected
In September 2019, just one month after losing his father to cancer, Brian Suite was diagnosed with Stage 4 soft tissue sarcoma, an extremely rare form of cancer which affects fewer than 1% of 1% of all people with cancer. At only 27, Brian Suite is facing the fight of his life.

When Brian first shared the news of his condition, friends and family immediately rallied around him.  Everyone who has met Brian knows he has a passion for life and a gift for bringing people together. TeamBSuite started from a small group of friends and has grown to a community of people.  Please join us and be inspired by Brian's optimism and determination as we support him in his fight to tackle cancer.

Our hero grew up in Hawaiʻi -- fishing from the sea, hiking through waterfalls, bodysurfing at Makapuʻu, and sailing with his dad.  A true Son of Oʻahu, Brian has always been a gifted athlete.  But first and foremost, he’s a natural leader with an unmatched ability to inspire his peers and bring people together.  From the time he was a kindergartener, Brian was comfortable among his classmates, teachers, and even older students who saw him as a role model, leader, and loyal friend.

Throughout his life, Brian has been able to connect with coaches and teammates with an unrelenting determination and team-first mentality. From the age of 5, Brian played baseball and basketball at Manoa Park, and spent summers running with the Renegade Track Club.  At the age of 10, Brian qualified to compete at the USA Track & Field National Junior Olympics, where he placed 5th in the nation in the long jump and Top 25 in the 100m dash.  At Punahou, Brian helped his school win State Championships in three sports: Baseball, Football, and Track & Field.  He worked hard to earn a scholarship to play football at Utah State University and reach a lofty goal to compete at the highest level. In May 2015, Brian signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Lions, suiting up in Honolulu Blue for four pre-season NFL games.  He was listed as a strong safety for the Lions on every roster leading up to the final cut.  In addition to Detroit, Brian had workouts in Arizona, Washington, and Green Bay before retiring from football four years ago.  That's when Brian moved to Seattle to reconnect with old friends and establish a career as a real estate broker, helping people buy homes and investments.

In June 2019, Brian moved back home to Honolulu to spend time with his family, as his dad was battling cancer.  Sadly, Howard Suite lost that battle in August 2019.  Just one month later, Brian learned that he, too, had cancer.

Throughout his life, Brian has inspired and touched the lives of all the people around him.  As his close friends, we want to share his story with people who don't know him, but should -- because Brian has taught us the power of determination and hard work and the value of being a team player.  Brian is truly a one-of-a-kind human with the spirit of a fighter and a heart of gold.  The world is a better place because Brian is a part of it.  We hope that you will join Brian Suite, his mom, Wendy Suite, and #TeamBSuite in our fight to tackle this cancer so Brian can continue to inspire and touch lives for many years to come.  It’s time for all of us to #BSuite #BStrong and #B*lieve.

Please join our team and support Brian through a contribution, big or small, and messages of encouragement, to help Brian as begins his journey to tackle cancer!

Thank you for your support, prayers, and generosity.
