HUGE TNR Project in Red Hook, Brooklyn

As of this morning, Wednesday March 6th, we have trapped over 60 cats in under a week. 11 are nice and will be tested and up for adoption, and 6-9 kittens will be socialized and up for adoption as well. We are hoping to trap 2-4 more in this area. 

We are also spaying some indoor outdoor cats that we heard about that have had many litters of babies.

Trapping this large amount of cats is exhausting and thrilling. I can't wait for it to be over, but I am thrilled that this area's cat population will be more manageable, healthier and under control.

Here is the basic breakdown of the costs, not including food and shelter:

60 cats Spayed/Neutered and up to date on shots @ $35/cat is $2100.

17 cats tested before being able to be up for adoption @ $25/cat is $425.
