T. Marie Consulting’s “Virtual Business Warming Party”
I am starting this GFM at the suggestion of a few friends after I reposted a screenshot of a tweet about the idea of a “business warming”. I thought how awesome would that be to support new and small businesses. When I posted it I saw a lot of positive feedback and was highly encouraged to do my own “business warming” for my newly launched T. Mari e Consulting business.
I’ve been doing freelance marketing and public relations since 2009 and it wasn’t until a few months ago that I officially considered myself an entrepreneur or small business. I decided to go this route after years of trying to obtain a job at agencies here in Louisville. I decided to focus on small and black owned businesses because often times they can’t afford big agency marketing, advertising, PR etc. I want to help these businesses, which usually have small marketing budgets, create the most effective marketing strategies.
In order to be of service to them, I need to be equipped with the best tools and resources. I usually only do consultations but I would love to provide more, like actually help create their advertising (print, TV, radio ads, logo etc.). I want to be a one stop Ad/marketing agency. To do that I need a top of the line laptop, pictured here is a MacBook Pro and the new Samsung Notebook 9 Pro. I would like to raise funds to purchase either laptop. Money raised will be for one of these, a protection plan and any necessary software.
I am so passionate about helping people and businesses, I’m passionate about marketing and would eventually love to do this full-time (this is a side thing for now). Anyone who knows me knows I eat, sleep, and breathe marketing.
So here I am taking my shot and requesting your help, anything you can donate to the purchase of one of these laptops would be very greatly appreciated! If/when I reach and/or succeed my goal, anything over that, I am going to pay it forward to another small business for their “business warming!
