Tristin's Fight Against Cancer

Hello, We are The Miguel Family

On March 10, 2022, we were sent to the ER due to Tristin’s right eye swelling. We received news that he had a mass the size of an egg located in his naval cavity & behind His eye, which also spread to his lymph nodes that are metastatic. That same night we were transported to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

On March 11, 2022, Tristin started his initial testing of CT scans, PET scan, MRI and surgery to obtain a biopsy from his nasal cavity. That evening my family and I have received the most devastating news that NO Parent wants to ever hear…and that is that your child has cancer. My son Tristin is 16 years old. 16! He’s a healthy and happy 16-year-old boy, and he was diagnosed with cancer.

On March 15, 2022, Tristin was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS) Stage 3 Group 3 cancer.

I am hurting, and I am scared, and I am mad…ALL THE SAME TIME. No parent ever thinks this would ever happen to their child, especially when they are healthy like my Tristin.

What we are asking from everyone is to keep their faith, prayers and positive vibes for our family but MOST IMPORTANTLY for T R I S T I N. As he starts his treatment and will have a long & bumpy year ahead of him!

All contributions will be going towards the Miguel family to help with Tristin's medical bills, all expenses for his weekly treatments for the next year and for his radiation treatment which may take them away from home for up to two months.
