Rosalynn and Lucia are hardworking, dedicated violinists who have an amazing opportunity to continue their musical journey in Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun and the origin of the Suzuki method of music education. Along with their Pineland Suzuki family, they will study and perform with the local Japanese students in Matsumoto, Tokyo, and Aoomori.

- Brain rewards: The brain releases good-feeling chemicals when you listen to a song you love. Listening to music tends to reduce the production and release of cortisol (the stress hormone). Lower blood pressure, heart rate, and cholesterol, and a less likely chance of heart disease are the positive effects of less cortisol.
- Children who study a musical instrument are more likely to excel in all of their studies, work better in teams, have enhanced critical thinking skills, stay in school, and pursue further education.
- Students who participate in school band or orchestra have the lowest levels of current and lifelong use of alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs among any group in our society.
