Surrogacy Journey for Lindsey and Travis

Travis and I met almost 15 years ago and always dreamed of having a big family.  However, in 2005, at the age of 25, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer which required multiple surgeries and chemotherapy treatments.  In spite of this, I remained determined to have the future that we always dreamed of.  

Miraculously I became pregnant in 2008 but the pregnancy was a difficult experience with serious complications.   Our son was born prematurely at 1400 grams.  We fought a difficult battle and now we are loving and healthy parents to our 6 year old son.  

We are now on another journey to have another child but my doctors have advised us that personally carrying another child would be fatal for me.  We have devoted our lives to being parents and have always remained hopeful that we will have the opportunity to share our love with another child and for our son to have a little sister or brother.

Amazingly, an incredibly generous friend has offered to carry our biological child as our surrogate mother.  However, IVF and surrogacy is expensive, the costs can be minimally $20,000.  We are looking for support to help fund our surrogacy and IVF journey - any little bit will help us to reach our dream!
