Ranch Forgotten Horse Sanctuary
Donation protected
Ranch Forgotten Horse Sanctuary is a satellite location for its parent organization: Valley View Ranch Equine Rescue, Non Profit ID # 26-3832985, providing permanent sanctuary and rehabilitation services. Since 1985 the owner, Marlene Dodge has been the shining star to thousands of equines left behind in bad situations, or sent to holding pens (kill pens), before being sent to slaughter.
Beginning in 2014 Ed Mitchell, a dedicated team of volunteers and Marlene Dodge started up a sanctuary site in North Monterey County.
Ranch Forgotten Horse Sancutary is proud and honored to partner with and assist Marlene Dodge in her quest for rescuing equines and providing sanctuary. Ranch Forgotten's part of this operation provides for up to 6 horses, independently raising funds to feed and provide medical assistance for these horses.
This group is also serious about educating the community with regard to horse care and prevention to end slaughter.
Please note a few things. One: The reward levels are meant to be inspiring, fun and hopefully will encourage donations. All funding is placed in a Valley View Ranch Equine Rescue Account that is reserved for Ranch Forgotten's horses and programs. Two: Although we don't show up on the "Go Fund Me" charity category for Valley View Ranch Equine Rescue, we have set this account so 100% of funds gained will go to feed and provide for these horses and programs operating at Ranch Forgotten. We invite you to come to our ranch (Appointment only as it is a private property) and to view our Facebook page. Events will also be posted on Facebook: www.facebook.com/ValleyViewRanchEquineRescueRanchForgotten
