HELP SUPPORT AXANAR: THE STAR TREK WE WANT!
Let's face it, as Star Trek fans, we support the universe that Gene Roddenberry envisioned. We also love great stories! And that's why we all love AXANAR! It has a great story that adheres to canon, and embodies the spirit of what Star Trek is all about. The Star Trek we grew up on and love.
The two final episodes of Axanar are being filmed now. They pick up where Prelude to Axanar left off, continuing the story of Garth of Izar, the Four Years War and the Battle of Axanar. These two episodes will have amazing visual effects, a great (returning) cast, and many of your favorite Federation species like the Andorians, Klingons and Vulcans .
Axanar is made by fans of Star Trek who know how to make professional quality Star Trek. It isn't just a fan film, it is studio-quality Star Trek.
AXANAR HAS FOUGHT LONG AND HARD TO MAKE THIS FILM
Executive Producer Alec Peters and his team could have given up in 2015, when CBS and Paramount sued the project and bankrupted the project.. This fan film was just TOO GOOD. That's right, the Judge who mediated the case told Alec and his attorney that CBS admitted this!
But AXANAR is a movement that can't be stopped! The Production Team fought back, even getting one of the top law firms in the U.S. to represent Axanar and its fans for free, (and provide over $1 million in pro-bono legal services) Sadly, other bills had to be paid. The CBS/Paramount lawsuit left the production broke and almost destroyed Alec financially (he has put over $200,000 of his own money into the project to keep it alive!!!)
Now, it's time to help them finish this amazing project! What this incredible team started 5 years ago, with the making of the first part of the story shown in 'Prelude to Axanar', can be finished with your help.
UNFORTUNATELY, CBS DOESN'T WANT AXANAR MADE!
CBS has been trying to bury Axanar, while promoting Discovery. Sure, that's understandable when you consider how much they've invested in their 'All Access' only series. But they choose to ignore the canon, the very foundation, that the Star Trek we grew up watching rests on.
And, CBS is still playing DIRTY! Two days before the Axanar shoot this month at ARES STUDIOS in Atlanta, CBS sent a letter to Axanar to try and scuttle the shoot! Accusations have been made that CBS went even further, and violated the settlement agreement by releasing the letter to a blogger, hoping this would cause problems for Axanar. You can read more about the attempt in the Axanar blog article "CBS Can't Sue Axanar ".
WE NEED YOU TO SUPPORT AXANAR!
How? By raising money where the team cannot raise it themselves. Part of the settlement agreed that the Production Team could not raise public funds. But that doesn't mean we fans can't raise it!! (See what we did? That's next level Romulan strategy.)
Axanar has a private fundraiser for past donors. But lots of people didn't donate before, and would like to help now. All money from this fundraiser will go directly to pay for the making of Axanar parts Four and Five, as well as the costs of Ares Studios, the sound stage that supports ALL Star Trek fan films, and has even had five different high school student films shot on the USS Ares bridge! (Please read UPDATE 1 below which modifies how the money will be used to stay within the SPIRIT of the settlement.)
So support the Star Trek you love and let’s all show CBS what real Star Trek can be. As you can tell by these pictures taken from the recent shoot, it's going to be AMAZING!!!!
Live Long and Prosper!
