Summer Leon Velarde Memorial

Summer Leon Velarde, 40, peacefully passed away at 8am on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at Wellington Hospice.


A beloved mother of 2 wonderful girls, and an incredible wife & friend to one (very) lucky guy, Summer was of kind soul of unbelievable strength. Regardless of what the disease dealt to her, she would push on and carry on fighting. Be it by conventional chemo/radiation therapy or experimental treatments, Summer would always look towards spending more days with her girls. Although her 4 year battle with breast cancer is over, her gift to our lives carries on with family, friends and all those who have had the pleasure to have known Summer. 



In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to her memorial that will be used to collect funds for funeral home expenses and, more importantly, to donate to Wellington Hospice. It is through their professionalism and compassionate care that allowed Summer to be pain free in the last few days of her life.
