12 & 13 BROKEN BONES IN 2 YEARS!
My electric scooter was stolen 2 months ago. I have a sever osteoporosis resulting from 25+ years of taking Truvada-HIV meds. I just found out I have two more broken bones in my feet, that makes my 12th and 13th broken bones in the last 2 years.
There are times, LIKE NOW, when it's very difficult and dangerous for me to get around even just to the grocery store 3 blocks away. PLEASE consider a small donation and HELP ME BUY ANOTHER SCOOTER!
Who am I? I'm just happy old gay activist and military veteran who has always tried to do my part. Until recently I founded and ran a group of citizen advocates. We helped pass legislation to pay for medication for HIV, Hepatitis C, and the Children's Health Insurance Programs. We worked with Senators Hatch and Kennedy, the co-sponsors of the Ryan White Care act and the Children's Health Insurance Program. I served in the Army as a Russian and German interpreter during the cold war. I am a proud LGBTQ activist for over 40 years. I was the first openly gay man in US Military Intelligence allowed to keep my Top Secret Security Clearance when I came out in the mid 80s. Being a gay activist in Reagan/Bush years was hard and going to two or three funerals a week for 10 or 15 years takes its toll, but we still managed to have fun while taking care of our friends. MOST IMPORTANTLY WE MADE A DIFFERENCE. We handed LGBTQ generations behind us a world of opportunities we couldn't have dared imagine. I'm very proud of that work and can confidently say we helped make this world a far better place then when we first got here. I just wish my many friends had also lived to see our victories......but at the moment I need help to get around. Please consider making a donation to help replace my stolen scooter.Thank you.
