I learned about the La Huella Roja Foundation 10 years ago, and I have been helping them with individual donations. They are located in Bogota, Colombia where there is a big stray pet problem: it currently has over 4 million homeless dogs and a significant number of stray cats. Many of these animals have excellent potential as pets, but will first need shelter, medical care, and the chance to find the right human companion.

La Huella Roja works to prevent the abandonment, abuse, and overpopulation of cats and dogs in Bogotá. They travel throughout Bogota, rescuing dogs and cats to spay, neuter, rehome, or return to their owners. They also offer low-cost vaccination and deworming services for cats and dogs and educate communities about the benefits of spaying and neutering domestic animals.

Their facility is dilapidated as it was never finished, and its foundation is not strong. It could also be a safety hazard for the animals if we don’t act immediately. In this facility they keep animals recovering from spay/neuter surgeries, animals that have been hurt by other animals or humans.

Also, they hold animals waiting to be adopted, and senior dogs and cats live here forever as they typically won’t get adopted due to their age.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to finish and remodel their facility.

Your donations will be used to:

purchase construction materials

put the floor down

replace all the pieces of wood columns with solid concrete columns

build interior and exterior walls

replace the roof

fix plumbing needed

Insulation installation

Están ubicados en Bogotá, Colombia, donde existe un gran problema de mascotas callejeras: actualmente tiene más de 4 millones de perros sin hogar y una cantidad importante de gatos callejeros. Muchos de estos animales tienen un excelente potencial como mascotas, pero primero necesitarán refugio, atención médica y la oportunidad de encontrar el compañero humano adecuado.

La Huella Roja trabaja para evitar el abandono, maltrato y sobrepoblación de perros y gatos en Bogotá. Viajan por Bogotá, rescatando perros y gatos para esterilizarlos, castrarlos, reubicarlos o devolverlos a sus dueños. También ofrecen servicios de vacunación y desparasitación a bajo costo para perros y gatos y educan a las comunidades sobre los beneficios de esterilizar y castrar animales domésticos.

Sus instalaciones están en ruinas ya que nunca se terminaron y sus cimientos no son sólidos. También podría ser un peligro para la seguridad de los animales si no actuamos de inmediato. En esta instalación mantienen animales recuperándose de cirugías de esterilización/castración, animales que han sido lastimados por otros animales o humanos.

Además, tienen animales que esperan ser adoptados, y los perros y gatos mayores viven aquí para siempre, ya que normalmente no serán adoptados debido a su edad.

Nuestro objetivo es recaudar $10,000 para terminar y remodelar sus instalaciones.

Sus donaciones se utilizarán para:

comprar materiales de construccion

Instalar el piso

reemplazar todas las piezas de columnas de madera con columnas de hormigón sólido

construir paredes interiores y exteriores

reemplazar el techo

arreglar la plomería necesaria

Instalación de aislamiento
