On March 19th 2016, I wrote a police report detailing the multiple counts of open/gross lewdness and sexual assault committed against me. For two painful years I have endured rescheduled court dates. At long last, the jury trial has been confirmed to start in June. During the trial I will be unable to work because my time and energy will be spent in the courtroom. I will testify and I will break myself in order to ensure (to the best of my ability) that he will never, ever hurt anyone in the ways he has hurt me.
Throughout my life I have always been the supporter, protector, and ultimate lover of my family. I have always been strong, but that strength was taken advantage of. I was trapped in a household where I was the sole support beam, ready to crumble holding the weight of my mom and my siblings devasted by domestic violence along with my own unimaginably heavy burden. In spite of it all, I survived. I built healthy relationships behind his back, I moved out, I fought for my safety and freedom away from him, and he hated me and everyone I loved for it.
During the trial, I will be unable to support myself financially and emotionally. I struggle with PTSD, fibromyalgia, severe depression, and anxiety. I will be unable to work for two weeks. I will need help paying for my bills and the expenses that come along with legal affairs. Throughout the next few weeks, during the trial, and afterwards I will provide updates via this gofund me page. Here is a detailed list of the ways funds donated will support me:
-Lost work (two weeks) $1,500
-Court appropriate clothing/haircut $150
-Bills
rent $585

cable $30
phone bill $70
car payment $300
groceries $100
gas $50
-Chiropractic work, acupuncture, and medication for PTSD induced fibromyalgia $250
I am already receiving support via Gender Justice Nevada, Victims Aid Fund of Nevada, Victims of Crime, and Safenest Victims Advocate center. These organizations will accompany me in the courtroom and pay for therapy but the funds/support do not extend beyond that.
