Stacey Glissendorf is my best friend and I’m sharing her story.
Stacey Glissendorf was diagnosed having NF2 at a young age.
Neurofibromatosis type 2 is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerve endings primarily in the brain area but can grow tumors anywhere nerves are. She has a very aggressive form and has tumors everywhere in her body.
She went deaf at 16, and blind in her early 20’s. She has had 41 surgeries fighting NF2. Stacey always has a smile and laughs to give, never complains, thinks of others before her self, and is the strongest kindest person I know. Despite being in pain everyday she always has a positive outlook and ready to take on the day. Stacey loves animals and would like to help make a difference. Stacey’s spirit is strong as ever, but her body is tired. Stacey is on hospice now and trying to make her time count. Please help show Stacey she can make a difference.
