Thank you for taking a few minutes to check out my South Africa Missions trip fundraising site!
As a little girl I dreamed of being a missionary. A short term mission trip, in my teens, state-side working with children in low-income housing projects just seemed to solidify the dream.
Life took a different turn in my early adulthood, where faith and most of my dreams were pushed aside. Several years ago when I returned to faith the calling to missions once again began its tug on my heart. I won't bore you with all of the details but it has been evident that God has been preparing me for the next phase of life. I do not know how missions (at home or abroad) will play a part yet I know without a shadow of a doubt that it will.
When the church I work at listed the trips for 2014, South Africa practically jumped off the page at me. After speaking with one of our Pastor's who travels regularly on trips, I just knew God was calling me to South Africa.
Grace Family Church will be partnering with Children's Cup to serve in Soweto doing evangelism, discipleship, community outreach and light construction. I am very excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead. Our team will be training over the next several months, including a micro mission trip here in Tampa.
It is a big stretch, personally and financially, and I know God is preparing the way. Please prayerfully consider supporting this special time in my life. I would be so blessed to have your support, most importantly in prayer, and financially if you are feeling so led. I can't wait to come home and share with you how God blessed & worked in and through this missions team!
