Help Portland DJ's pump up the bass!
Greetings music lovers and record spinners. We are excited to announce that we have started a Portland chapter of "Skratchpad", and we are in need of an upgraded soundsystem for our monthly, community events.
What is Skratchpad
you ask? Well, Skratchpad is a non-profit, unique, free, public monthly event that's
focused and centered around the art of DJ'ing, yet also embraces and
showcases all elements of HipHop. The Skratchpad family mission is to preserve
HipHop culture and elevate the art of DJ'ing, keeping the music, culture,
and people connected.
By contributing to the Skratchpad speaker fund you will be enhancing our creative outlet, as well as helping to improve the sound quality for our free, public events, benefiting all who attend.
We intend on purchasing the new soundsystem upgrade from "Platinum Records, Lights & Sound" in Portland, Oregon. Here's what we plan on buying: (x2) QSC K12 self-powered speakers, (x2) speaker stands, and a few necessary speaker cables and cords.
As a non-profit group, we can't do this without you. It's going to take a collective effort from the community to help us reach our goal. From a $5 donation to a $500 donation, anything helps.
