Simone ACL Surgery

Let’s get this girl back to the mountains! Simone is schedule for a double ACL surgery on November 2 which is an unexpected but necessary expense for us. I wasn’t going to set up a fundraising page but have been asked by several people if I had one, which goes to show how loved this precious pup is. We are also accepting virtual hugs, emojis, and snacks.

Dog ACLs are a bit different and tear gradually from a series of injuries. With all of our travel and hiking, Simone has torn both ACLs bit-by-bit over the last couple of years. I can think back to several injuries that likely contributed. So after five different vets, radiographs, and knowing in my gut what I needed to do, I'm putting her under the knife. 

I've heard countless reports of how much ACL surgery can help dogs and I can't wait to see Simone back to her joyful playful self. I miss watching her bound in the snow, chase after her ball, zoom around the yard, and walk with me to work. She is so full of life and adventure, I am incredibly anxious to get her back to a place where she can live up to her full potential.
