Shelley's Fight!

Everyone that knows Shelley knows her for her outgoing personality, her lifelong love of animals, and her generous heart toward others. She has dedicated her life to helping all animals. Since she was a little girl, she would bring home every stray dog in the neighborhood, find a baby bunny in the yard and care for it until it could survive on its own. To this day, you can always find her at a local shelter volunteering her time, money, and energy. She is forever "fostering" (often keeping) animals that have been abused or raised in puppy mills. Unfortunately, this amazing woman who has given so much of herself, now needs our help. On Saturday, February 1st, Shelley went to the ER because she was having back pain. She then found out that her lung had collapsed. While reading a CT scan of her lungs, the doctors. noticed a large mass on her kidney. The next few days would prove to be the worst days of her life. Shelley was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. She recently had her kidney removed along with a very large tumor. However, that was not the end. The following day, she found out that the cancer spread to both her lungs. Shelley will be traveling to Pittsburgh to get treatment at the Hillman Cancer Center. During this time, she will be unable to work. Shelley has a long fight ahead of her. Please help us raise enough money for Shelley and her family so she doesn't have to worry about any financial burdens during this incredibly difficult this time and can focus all of her energy on getting well.
