Shane Fuller's Recovery From Gunshot

Donation protected
Saturday 11/4/17, Shane was involved in an unfortunate accident resulting in a gunshot wound to his leg. Praise God, his friend Regal has military medical training and was with him. Regal was able to place a tourniquet on his leg to slow some of the bleeding until the paramedics arrived. Upon arriving at the hospital, Shane was rushed in for immediate surgery to evaluate the wound and clean out the metal fragments in his leg from the bullet. They discovered that the bullet was partially lodged in his femur bone and by the Grace of God, barely missed his main artery. They were unable to safely remove the bullet, but cleaned his leg and hand, which is also wounded. Monday 11/6/17, Shane bravely underwent his second surgery. This time, they were able to remove the bullet and they inserted a metal rod through his hip, into his broken femur bone from the bullet. Shane is looking at a very long recovery process and will be in the hospital for a while and then rehab/physical therapy for quite some time after being discharged. If his recovery goes well, he will still be unable to return to work for at least 4-6 months while undergoing therapy to walk again. His wife, Emily Fuller (which is my cousin), is of course right there by Shane's side to comfort and support him while he is in the hospital, but also means she is currently missing work. Unfortunately, Shane does not have medical insurance to help pay for the growing medical expenses and will also not have income from work while he is recovering. Shane and Emily Fuller have always been extremely giving in so many ways, to so many people throughout the years and although they would never ask for help themselves, my hope is to surround them with love and prayers and bring them some financial relief to ease their worries, so that Shane can fight through this, heal, and endure the long road to recovery ahead and to ease some of the financial medical burden so Emily can focus on supporting Shane's Recovery. If you feel led to donate, the proceeds will go directly to Shane's medical bills and living expenses to support his recovery in the next 6 months. If nothing else, please join me in praying for this amazing couple, whom we love so very much.Thank you,Bridget Erwin
