Turner Family Fund

On behalf of myself & The Moline Acres Police department, we are raising money to assist the wife & children of one of our very own.  Sgt Herschel Turner of The Moline Acres police department was tragically struck by another patrol car, driven by a Bellefontaine Neighbors police officer & died from his injuries on December 5th, 2020.  This was a very unfortunate & tragic to anyone that new him as he would have given you the shirt off of his back. He leaves behind a wife & 7 children.

Sgt Turner had been with the Moline Acres Police Department since 2015, but had been serving as an officer for 22 years.

Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help during this time. Know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate this through these difficult times. We kindly ask, if you are able to, to donate funds that will assist Sgt Turners wife & his children with any expenses they may have. Please keep Sgt Turners' family in your prayers.

I, Chief Greg Moore of the moline acres police department be be accepting these donations and will see that Sgt. Turners wife & family recieve them.

The funeral arrangements for fallen Moline Acres Sgt. Herschel Turner have been finalized.

A visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Reliable Funeral Chapel, 3958 Washington Boulevard.

A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis at 4431 Lindell Boulevard.
